Whether it’s the fluff of Fragile Future, which seems ready to blow away at any moment, or the graceful forms of Shylights – folded lamps that descend in space according to suggested characteristics – there is always a vital, explorative, and unconventional energy underlying their works. This energy arises from unbridled curiosity and a critical attitude. The urge to create is not merely a creative impulse but a belief that reality does not need to be accepted passively. Expectation patterns shift by creating objects and spaces that provide insight and create awareness of the relationship between humans and nature; humans and the constructed world.
