GreenPower Lagoon Monster

The artwork “GreenPower Lagoon Monster” was first seen in Venice. The first patron saint of Venice was St. Theodore of Amasea, a Byzantine warrior who, according to legend, killed the dragon that terrorized the city of Amasea. The story can be seen as a metaphor for the triumph of good over evil. During GLOW 2013, this legend was brought to life in a surprising way. The dragon appeared as a fearsome sea monster rising from the water of the Eindhoven canal. However, it was not St. Theodore of Amasea who tamed the dragon, but the technology of Davide Carioni and Lorenzo Pompei.
