GLOW collects stories and memories from visitors
Ahead of the 24th edition of the light art festival, GLOW is launching a special initiative to collect personal stories and memories from GLOW visitors. The festival, which annually attracts hundreds of thousands of people to Eindhoven, aims to highlight the social and connecting aspects of the event through this initiative.
In 2023, GLOW conducted research on the social impact on its visitors. On average, visitors rated the event with an 8, compared to a 7.6 in 2022. Of the visitors who indicated they had attended GLOW more than three times, 58% felt that GLOW strengthened their connection to the region. As many as 60% said they felt more connected to Eindhoven through GLOW. Now, it’s time to uncover the stories behind these figures: how exactly does the light art festival foster connections?
GLOW is on the lookout for beautiful, impressive, and touching stories and memories from its visitors and businesses. In this way, not only the light art but also the experiences, stories, and memories of many visitors will be spotlighted. With this step, GLOW aims to deepen the festival’s extensive history by capturing personal anecdotes and memories. “GLOW is more than just a visual light festival; it’s an experience that brings people together, inspires, and moves them,” says Ronald Ramakers, director of GLOW. “We realize that GLOW holds special meaning for many. This edition, we want to make that more tangible.”
