Various animation styles and techniques come together in the light artwork Habitats, created by Maincourse in collaboration with MINI Netherlands. This light project is only visible during GLOW Eindhoven, where the electric MINI Countryman takes center stage. With Habitats, a positive message is conveyed, offering an abstract escape from daily reality.

The inspiration for the design stems from Eindhoven’s graffiti culture, which influenced the style and form of the work. The animations are based on the theme The Stream and reflect the energy of different ecosystems, ranging from the ocean to the city. The music—a blend of hip-hop and samples—enhances the visual experience and creates a journey through diverse landscapes and emotions.

Habitats invites visitors to reflect on the beauty of our world and the need to focus on positivity. This artwork reminds us that nature and humanity can coexist harmoniously and that beauty can be found in the diversity of our environment.
