A total of 40 schools, 30 teachers, 112 classes, and 2500 students engaged with the theme of Nature and Architecture. Using various materials and techniques, the students created lampshades from recyclable materials. When all these lampshades are combined, a unique “Crown Lighter” (an insect hotel) is formed for each class. A swarm of fireflies indicates the route.
About the artist
To support the teachers, Cultuurstation develops a lesson plan and a workshop, providing them with teaching ideas, artistic tips, material usage instructions, and technical possibilities. GLOW for Kids is a successful initiative that contributes to the creative development of children, offering them a special experience in the company of parents, teachers, or other children while exploring their own artwork amidst the GLOW projects.
