Let yourself be carried along by the flow of Eindhoven and discover the story of the city through the ages. The journey begins in the Ice Age, where meltwater and rain together formed the basis of the Dommel, the river that would later serve as Eindhoven’s lifeline.

This river nourished agriculture, fuelled craftsmanship, and eventually powered the industrial growth that brought Eindhoven to life. Today, we celebrate urban life on Kleine Berg – a charming street where history and modernity meet.

Come and experience the rich history of Eindhoven through the eyes of young creators. This light show invites visitors to reflect on the origins of Eindhoven and to experience and appreciate the city’s life today.

European Students

Eight talented students – seven from SiNTLUCAS and one from TU Dresden (Germany) – created a unique light show in just four days. With their expertise in audio-visual design, 2D and 3D design, AI, and audio, they crafted an experience that brings to life the rich history of the Dommel and the evolution of Eindhoven.

The theme The Stream served as their inspiration as they explored the significance of the Dommel for the city’s development.

From workshop to idea, to production and execution in a self-called Mappington.
