18-19 November - Live performance by Annelie de Vries at the Paterskerk

Shylight is a sculpture made by the artist duo DRIFT and has been hanging in the DOMUSDELA for several years. For GLOW, DRIFT and pianist Annelie co-created a performance in which Annelie’s piano composition Lumen is the basis for a unique choreography performed by Shylight.

DRIFT and Annelie share the following approach for their performance in both works: ‘The performance is like a life cycle. It begins with creation and development, then blossoms and discovers the possibilities of existence. Then comes the process of the end.’

DRIFT works with a multidisciplinary team of 64 people on aerial sculptures, installations and performances. All individual artworks have the ability to transform spaces. The confined parameters of a museum or a gallery does not always do justice to a body of work, rather it often comes to its potential in the public sphere or through architecture.

A live performance by Annelie de Vries at the Studio Drift exhibition can be seen on Friday 18 November and Saturday 19 November.
