Tessa Koot
The project “Kei-Like EHVN” by Eindhoven artist Tessa Koot is part of Roundabout Design, a permanent design route in the city center of Eindhoven aimed at inspiring visitors to Eindhoven.
The artwork will be located on the Grote Markt in the city center. There is already a lamppost in that spot, which will have to be replaced. The installation was set up at the end of the Dutch Design Week (DDW), and it is not intended to disappear quickly. The plan is for it to remain in place for perhaps two or three years. “That’s why I wanted to work with lampposts, to make an intervention in something that already exists,” said Koot.
“Roundabout Design” aims to ultimately become a connection between design-oriented institutions such as TAC, the Design Academy, the Philips Museum, the Kazerne, the Van Abbemuseum, the DesignHuis, the Schellensfabriek, the NRE-terrein, and the VDMA.
