The dress is entirely made of thin fiberglass. The whole piece is translucent, creating a nearly ethereal appearance. The colors of the fiberglass gradually change. The result is an ethereal ensemble that evokes associations with a dreamy fairytale world, but also resembles a ghostly apparition due to the absence of a wearer.
About the artist
Tae-Gon Kim, a Korean artist residing in Paris, works almost exclusively with fiberglass. With this material, he can create a delicate network that provides enough stability to build a sculpture that emits light from all sides. He often bases his shapes on the human body.
