About the artist
Sigrid Sandmann
Sigrid Sandmann creates participatory art in which language, light and memory are intertwined. At the heart of her work are the people of a particular place: their thoughts, voices and stories. With a critical yet respectful perspective, she explores how individual experiences shape shared spaces and translates them into poetic and visual forms.
She sees art as a dialogue: sensitive, political and deeply human. Through interviews, typography and digital media, she transforms everyday words into illuminated signs of participation and freedom, inviting us to see ourselves and the world anew.
