Light art connects, between people, ideas, disciplines and generations. That is why ‘The region makes GLOW’ is at the heart of the festival. Everyone can contribute to the development of light art, and we provide a platform for local artists, companies, residents and students.
Students are given the opportunity to develop themselves, strengthen their creative skills and bring their ideas and vision to life within a professional and inspiring festival environment.

Supporting young talent
Thanks to our partners, emerging creators at GLOW are able to experiment, learn and bring their ideas to life, contributing to the future of light art.
For example, the ASML Student Fund supports students at an early stage in their development, offering guidance and starter budgets for their projects. In addition, Simac provides student teams with the opportunity to compete for the Talent Award — an annual audience and jury prize that puts young talent in the spotlight and offers opportunities to further develop their projects.
In-kind sponsors also contribute by providing materials, technology and specialised expertise, while professional partners coach and guide teams towards presenting their work during the festival. General funding further enables the GLOW Academy, supporting everything from masterclasses and coaching to production support and public presentations.
