Sonos Ignitia stands for ‘the land of sound and fire’. Its makers promise visitors to GLOW a completely new sensation of fire: a living landscape of flame that visibly and audibly undulates around you. This work of art takes you on a journey through the heart of a composition of sound, light and heat. The feelings it evokes alternate between meditative and compelling, digital and analogue, technical and poetic, intimate and bombastic. Sound controls the flames, bringing them to life and making them dance. Like a landscape inhabited by a composition of light, sound and heat. As a visitor, you walk straight through the inferno and all your senses are stimulated. Sonos Ignitia is a composition of sound, images and emotion. Transcend the boundaries of this world and travel in your imagination to a different planet!

Temporary Art Center’ designers Nikolai Gillissen, Almar Sinte Maartensdijk and Ricky van Broekhoven will take you right to the source. They approach light in its most basic form: as fire. The Temporary Art Center connects every form of creativity: art, culture, technology and design. And who can display the qualities of TAC better than the residents themselves? That is why Nikolai, Almar and Ricky decided to work together and create this light artwork.
