General information

The light festival GLOW is a celebration for your senses and imagination. The upcoming edition, Connect, will take place from November 7 to 14, 2026, and is free to visit in Best, Eindhoven, Oirschot, Helmond, Lieshout and Veldhoven. Will you join us?

In Best, you can admire light art on squares, in parks, and hidden in the streets in unexpected places. The route is a place where people come together and share experiences. From young to old, national to international, GLOW creates shared moments and memories. Walk approximately three kilometers along the light art installations, created by international and local artists, especially for and by residents and visitors.

The easiest way to get to GLOW Best is by public transport or by bike if the distance allows. See below for how to visit Best.

Train

Coming by train? Great choice! Sprinter trains stop at Best Central Station, so you can start your GLOW walk right away. Check ns.nl for the latest travel information.

City bus

Surrounding villages and areas often have a timetable to Eindhoven Central Station. Check 9292ov.nl for relevant travel information.

Bike

Bicycles can be parked at the Dorpsplein in the bike racks or at the station in the public covered bicycle parking area.

Car

Coming by car and crossing the GLOW route? We ask you to drive slowly and pay close attention, as it can be busy in the city center. At several locations, traffic controllers are present to help keep everything running smoothly.

Coming by car? You can park at one of these locations:

Parking at a P+R

Choose affordable P+R parking and take public transport or a shared electric transport to the city centre.

When does GLOW start and finish?

GLOW Best, Lieshout, Oirschot, Helmond and Veldhoven can be visited from Saturday, November 7 through Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. You can visit GLOW Eindhoven from Saturday, November 7 through Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

What time does GLOW start?

GLOW Best, Lieshout, Oirschot, Helmond and Veldhoven can be visited from Saturday, November 7 through Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. You can visit GLOW Eindhoven from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Do I need a ticket for GLOW?

No. GLOW is a free light art festival in the public area. The city will be illuminated with large and small light art projects that are linked together along a walking route through the city. The artworks are created by national and international light artists and for everyone to visit. You do need a ticket for the unique drone experience at the Philips Stadium in Eindhoven. You can reserve yours via this link.

Are there any toilets along the route?

The town hall is open during GLOW, where you can use the public restrooms.

Is GLOW accessible for wheelchairs?

Yes, the GLOW route is fully wheelchair accessible.

Can I follow the GLOW route by bike or scooter?

The route of GLOW follows the public road as much as possible. We recommend to walk the route, it’s only 5 kilometers. If you do come by bike, take the traffic around you into account.

I live on the GLOW route, where can I find more information?

Do you live directly along the route? Then you will receive a letter from the municipality with more information. Did you not receive a letter but you do live directly along the route? Send an email to glow@gemeentebest.nl.

Are there any food and drink points along the route?

For the opening hours of other restaurants and cafés in the town center, please check the website of the respective establishment.

Can I contribute to GLOW as an entrepreneur?

When does the setup and takedown of GLOW take place?

Starting October 26, setup will begin at various locations in the town center. In the following weeks, work will continue intensively to open GLOW on the weekend of November 7. You may come across some testing taking place in the center. From November 15 to 18, the light artworks will be taken down.

Press information

GLOW has international allure, and that’s something worth writing about. It’s an excellent opportunity for the press to view and discover new artists and light art projects. Members of the press are also welcome at GLOW for reports and interviews.
