General information

GLOW Light Festival is a feast for your senses and imagination. The upcoming edition, ‘Connect’, will take place from 7 to 14 November 2026 and is free to visit in Helmond, Eindhoven, Oirschot, Best, Lieshout and Veldhoven. Will you join us?

With landmarks such as Helmond Castle, Lambertus Church and Frans Joseph van Thiel Park, Helmond provides a surprising setting for an unforgettable light art experience. The route is a place where people come together and share experiences. From young to old, national or international, GLOW creates shared moments and lasting memories. Walk approximately three kilometres along unique light artworks created by international and local artists, specially for and by residents and visitors.

The easiest way to get to GLOW Helmond is by public transport or by bike if the distance allows. See below for how to visit Helmond.

Train

Are you coming by train? Great choice! Both sprinter and intercity trains stop at Helmond Central Station. GLOW is signposted at the station, so you can easily start the route from there. Check ns.nl and ov9292.nl for the latest travel information.

City bus

Surrounding villages and areas often have a timetable to Eindhoven Central Station. Check 9292ov.nl for relevant travel information.

Bike Helmond

Helmond has several bike racks. Park at one of these bike racks to directly follow the GLOW route.

Car

Attention! The city center is dedicated to GLOW, and Helmond will not be as easily accessible by car during these days. Are you coming by car anyway? Then please be aware of traffic congestion.

When does GLOW start and finish?

You can visit all the light artworks in the city center of Eindhoven from Saturday, November 7th, up to and including Saturday, November 14th, 2026, between 6:30 PM and 11:00 PM. The routes in the municipalities Helmond, Best, Oirschot, Veldhoven and Lieshout can be visited from Saturday, November 7th, up to and including Saturday, November 14th, 2026, between 6:30 PM and 10:00 PM.

What time does GLOW start?

You can visit all the light artworks in the city center of Eindhoven between 6:30 PM and 11:00 PM. The projects in Helmond, Oirschot, Best, Veldhoven & Lieshout can be visited between 6:30 PM and 10:00 PM.

Do I need a ticket for GLOW?

No. GLOW is a free light art festival in the public area. The city will be illuminated with large and small light art projects that are linked together along a walking route through the city. The artworks are created by national and international light artists and for everyone to visit. You do need a ticket for the unique drone experience at the Philips Stadium in Eindhoven. Is GLOW accessible for wheelchairs?

Yes, the GLOW route is fully wheelchair accessible.

Can I follow the GLOW route by bike or scooter?

The route of GLOW follows the public road as much as possible. We recommend to walk the route, it’s only 5 kilometers. If you do come by bike, take the traffic around you into account.

I live on the GLOW route, where can I find more information?

Are you, as a resident, living directly within the event area? If you experience any inconvenience, you will receive a letter from GLOW. Do you have any questions? Then email info@gloweindhoven.nl.
