The LEGO Group becomes a new partner of GLOW with light artwork BRICK

Eindhoven, 20 October 2026 – GLOW welcomes the LEGO Group as a new partner for its 2026 edition, themed CONNECT. The Danish family-owned company is making BRICK possible, a new light artwork by Captain Energy, the team comprising Jan Fabel, Pim Rongen and Erwin Steijlen. BRICK will be on display at the Markt in Eindhoven during GLOW, celebrating the joy of play and the LEGO brick as a language of construction.

For the LEGO Group, GLOW and this year’s theme reflect the belief that there should be room to play, explore and create together. Creative activities inspire people in many different ways and help develop a range of skills. The LEGO Play Well Study (2026) also shows that children and parents place great value on creativity and playing together, while recognising that time for these activities is increasingly under pressure.

Bringing people together

“GLOW shows what can happen when you bring people together in an inspiring way and invite them to look at their surroundings from a different perspective,” says Pieter Vincent, Brand Marketing Manager at the LEGO Group. “Play gives people the freedom to explore, build and bring their own ideas to life. With BRICK, the artists have the freedom to develop their own artistic and creative interpretation. We are delighted to be supporting an artwork at GLOW for the first time this year. Eindhoven and the surrounding municipalities are an important hub for creativity and innovation.”

At the Markt

In BRICK, the familiar visual language of LEGO bricks is transformed into light, rhythm and movement through projection and digital techniques. The artwork is created by Captain Energy. This will be the sixth time the team has presented its work at GLOW. The façades around the Markt become a playground where a single brick, a single pixel, grows into a complete moving structure. The light show lasts approximately five minutes.

A celebration of play

BRICK brings the freedom to experiment and explore original ideas into the public realm at GLOW. The artists invite visitors to marvel at what emerges when play, light and imagination come together.

“For me, LEGO is much more than a toy. It is a way to make ideas visible and discover something new time and time again,” says Jan Fabel of Captain Energy. “With BRICK, we return to the joy of building. It is a celebration of play, LEGO and Eindhoven, where imagination and technology come together.”
