Artist call 2026

GLOW invites all light artists, collectives, and collaborations to develop light art for the upcoming edition. During Connect, from 7 to 14 November 2026, hundreds of thousands of visitors will come together to experience light art in the streets, parks, and squares of Eindhoven, Best, Oirschot, Helmond, Veldhoven, and Lieshout. We will consider all submissions for the 2026 edition. This call for entries closes on 5 April 2026.

Who is this call for?
This call is aimed for professional artists across various disciplines, from individuals to collectives. Creatives without professional light art experience are referred to the Talent Call 2026.

Theme ‘Connect’
Connect is the moment when something begins to pulse: between people, between glances, words, and silences. It creates space for movement, reaction, expression, or attentive listening and reflection. At the same time, Connect is about networks and systems that gain meaning only when they are connected: the relationship between you and the light art, between the city and the region, and within a constantly evolving environment, between old and new. Above all, Connect is a shared story that the region tells over eight days. Together, we enter the route: some join in, others fall back or quicken their pace. Not everyone starts at the same time, moves at the same speed, or experiences the moment in the same way, but along the way, people meet. You look up, slow down, and walk together for a while. Light marks the places where these encounters happen.

We are looking for a submission that reflects Connect and in which connection is visible, tangible, and experiential: between residents and visitors, between light art and people, and between personal stories and shared experiences. All forms of light art are possible, including projections, installations, or innovative concepts that have yet to be explored.

Practical information

• A fee and production budget are available for the selected project. We may pair your project with a sponsor for funding.
• Submissions will be evaluated based on originality, relevance to the theme Connect, suitability for GLOW (is it light art, suitable for the expected number of visitors, and appropriate for public space), feasibility within the available budget, and practical realizability.
• If your project is selected for GLOW 2026, you will be notified before 15 April 2026. Due to the high volume of submissions, we regret that we cannot respond individually to every applicant. We will only contact you if your idea is selected. We thank everyone in advance for the time and energy invested in this call.
• Before and during the festival, your project will receive significant visibility through GLOW’s communication channels. We ask for your active participation in publicity efforts.
• The delivery date for your project is 23 October 2026.
• Together with the GLOW production team, you will test your work during the first week of November so that it is ready for the start of GLOW from 7 to 14 November, welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors.
