With great sadness, GLOW received the news of the unexpected passing of Fren Klomp (30) from Lieshout.

Fren was a dedicated artist who created two light artworks for last year’s GLOW Lieshout festival. With his installation Binnenwereld on the Mouttorens, he invited visitors to share in his sense of wonder about the unknown. In the village square, his artwork Liefde der Lieshout transformed the love that a special group of young residents have for their village into a unique experience of light and sound.

Fren was known for his personal and imaginative approach to art. Through his studio, Fren.chise, he explored how art can bring people together and encourage reflection. His work ranged from traditional craftsmanship to digital techniques and combined poetic ideas with social themes. With a curious mind and an open attitude, he found beauty in people, stories, and light. For Fren, art was more than a form of expression, it was a way of life.

GLOW remembers Fren as a committed artist and greatly values the contribution he made to GLOW Lieshout.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. We wish them strength and comfort as they cope with this great loss.
