GLOW Diversity: Light art for everyone

From 12 to 19 November, Eindhoven was once again setted for GLOW. An event that annually attracts hundreds of thousands of (inter)national visitors. It is important that all these visitors feel welcome and safe. Alderman Toub (diversity, care, youth and social support) of Gemeente Eindhoven organized together with GLOW the GLOW Diversity evening on GLOW Monday, November 14 2022. Light art for everyone is central.

How do we ensure that everyone feels safe and at home at a major event like GLOW? How can we now strive for a GLOW that everyone is part of and feels like this. Four speakers guided by Samir Toub showed us that we are not that different at all. That we may look at the new possibilities that arise. Wheelchair accessibility for example, and the connection and diversity in Eindhoven’s DNA, equal opportunities and cooperation with various organizations. We learn together, and for GLOW 2023 GLOW Labs will be organized about diversity and accessibility. We make GLOW even more of everyone.

With thanks to SintLucas: Cathelijne Tooten, ASML: Dulce Pumareja, Jalila Essaïdi, Pia Hendriks, Ronald Ramakers, Samir Toub, Yunus Balci and Twycer / Photography for companies.
