Eighteen towering candles, right in front of Eindhoven Central Station. Their flames might remind you of the cozy flicker of candlelight at home — curtains drawn, curled up on the couch with someone you love. Or perhaps of the time you lit a candle for someone else. A candle holds something magical: it’s a source of light that brings atmosphere and hope, connection and warmth. And today, you can see them here, high above your head. Walk around them, look up, and choose your perspective — the candle reveals something different from every angle.

By day, the Candle Lights shimmer in the sun, winking at everyone crossing the square. By night, the installation glows with eighteen hundred light points and six thousand tiny mirrors, transforming the square into a true dance floor. The installation invites you to pause for a moment and reflect on life’s big and small things — much like the hopeful flicker of a single flame. Who or what do you think of?

This year, we celebrate twenty years of GLOW. You’ll encounter Studio Toer in several locations — for example, at the Anne Frankplantsoen in Eindhoven, the Koetshuistuin in Best, and along the canal in Oirschot.
