About the artist
Projektil
The Swiss group Projektil focuses on large-scale projections in public spaces, using light, shape, and color to tell stories and provide passersby with a remarkable experience.
Projektil uses both old and new projection techniques for GLOW. Until recently, large-scale projections mostly used analog projectors, capable of showing only static or shifting images, functioning as giant slide projectors. Video mapping, a relatively young and rapidly developing technology, allows for highly precise and brightly projected video images, creating powerful illusions.
In “Charm on Speed,” Projektil combines both projection techniques playfully, resulting in a captivating and seemingly animated facade of the Catharinakerk.
