Chromolithe

For GLOW 2013, Patrice Warrener illuminated Huize de Laak and Dommelhoef. The monumental buildings on either side of Nachtegaallaan seem to be made of candy with all these colorful lights. The surrounding gardens are also illuminated. The buildings change color time and again, accompanied by atmospheric sounds.

About the artist

Patrice Warrener

Patrice Warrener, hailing from France, has become world-famous for the way he illuminates buildings. From Belgium to Singapore, from Japan to the United Arab Emirates: wherever he goes, he transforms the world into a fairy tale. He uses projectors that precisely cast colorful light on the facades. The smallest architectural details are highlighted and given such vibrant colors that they seem to have been painted just yesterday. Warrener patented the technique he uses in 1989 and has been working on refining this application ever since to create even more impressive spectacles in any location.
