At Faces, people are at the heart of the artwork. Everyone can take part and become part of a living artwork that is constantly changing. Take a selfie and discover how your face becomes part of something bigger.
The selfies are broken down into small fragments: an eye, a nose, a mouth, and projected onto the town hall. Together, they form an ever changing group portrait. You recognise yourself and, at the same time, encounter someone else. And all of this takes place in a square that belongs to all of us.
An eye filled with wonder, a glowing smile, a raised eyebrow or a frown. All real facial expressions, collected in real time at GLOW or in advance in the municipality of Best. That is why the artwork never looks the same. Every visitor contributes a piece to the puzzle. Anyone who submits a portrait becomes part of the whole. Together, the different faces, stories and personalities create an artwork full of colour and character. Everyone contributes something. Together, we create something bigger than ourselves.
