Like a proud beacon of light, this work rises above the houses, offices and shops. With a so called PANI projection, artist Daniel Margraf brings colorful stories to life on the former district court in Oirschot. These are enormous slides, with the stately building as their canvas.
Daniel Margraf is a master of light art. With giant projectors he transforms a building you might pass by thoughtlessly during the day into an unmissable artwork. In doing so he adds a new layer to the world we often take for granted. As if he is saying: look around you, the stories are there for the taking. Light Delight can be read like a giant hidden object puzzle. Everyone sees something different, and you discover something new every time. Just like in daily life, as long as you keep your eyes open.
You can see the work of Daniel Margraf three times at GLOW this year. Here in Oirschot, in Helmond at Hotel West Ende, and in Veldhoven on the tower of the Caecilia Church. Three different experiences, all very worthwhile. Will you join us?
About the artist
As an interdisciplinary artist, Daniel Margraf works in both digital and classical analog light art. Technology, emotion, and creating atmosphere are central to his work. In this way he aims to connect people. With his expressive analog light images he helps viewers relax or, on the contrary, invites them to go on a journey of discovery. His light artworks transform houses and places, allowing people to see familiar locations in a completely new light.
