Weeping Willows

Weeping Willows

Anne Frankplantsoen

During the very first edition of GLOW, the duo Har Hollands and Kees Bos delivered the first contribution from Eindhoven to the light festival: a tranquil piece of nature along the Dommel that, twenty years later, is still etched in the memories of visitors.
By popular demand, here is a reprise.
With the familiar overhead projectors, the Weeping Willows are brought back to life once more.
The tears of the weeping willows are carried slowly along by the Dommel… and in the distance you hear:

Now you say you are lonely
You cried the whole night through
Well you can cry me a river, cry me a river
I cried a river over you
(Julie London, A. Hamilton)
