GLOW Foundation

The organisation

GLOW Eindhoven operates as a non-profit foundation, committed to enriching the city of Eindhoven and its surrounding municipalities with innovative light art. The organisation is driven entirely by a mission without a profit motive. Its governance is based on the Supervisory Board model: the executive board is appointed and monitored by the Supervisory Board, which also serves as a critical sparring partner and advisor. Under the leadership of the executive board, the GLOW team ensures that daily operations run smoothly, with the ultimate goal of bringing residents and visitors together each year through an inspiring light art festival.

Team

GLOW is made up of a small, dedicated core team that works year-round to bring the festival to life. With energy, creativity, and passion, we work toward a shared goal: a light art festival that everyone can enjoy – young or old, local or visitor from afar.

In the run-up to and during the festival in November, the team expands with additional support – from flexible specialists to temporary assistants. Together, we ensure that GLOW continues to surprise, connect, and inspire year after year.

Supervisory Board

GLOW operates under the Supervisory Board model. The Supervisory Board (SB) ensures that the implementation of management policies aligns with the approved strategic plans and principles. Members of the SB are required to have an affinity with the cultural and social objectives of Stichting GLOW. When forming the board, attention is paid to relevant areas of expertise (organisation, finance, legal affairs, marketing, sponsorship, diversity) and representation of different stakeholder interests (visitors/friends, cultural sector, businesses, etc.). These are unpaid roles.
