Hammerhaus

Photographer and light artist Kurt Laurenz Theinert designs abstract, graphic compositions. For “Hammerhaus,” he uses a visual piano—a keyboard that allows live image editing. The image material is transformed into a 360° panoramic projection.

Theinert collaborates with musician Axel Hanfreich for this project, responsible for the sound. Their minimalist sounds, like Theinert’s images, are created digitally and can be live-mixed. Theinert and Hanfreich together provide a concert with ample room for improvisation. At times, the visuals and sound complement each other, while at other moments, they act as counterweights to each other.

The performance takes place in the old post office next to the station, where the duo fills the open hall with sounds, colors, and lines that completely absorb the senses and make one forget the existing surroundings.
