In an other Light

The video projection in “In Another Light” covers two sides of the Hooghuis, a colossal building on the Keizersgracht. The created images completely mask the actual structure of the building and create a spectacular spectacle.

The program starts calmly with geometric patterns overlaying the building. Slowly, the facade appears to detach from the construction. Walls seem to gently flutter like fabric in the wind or unfold and bend. Floors shift and multiply. Occasionally, a figure with a hat and a pistol appears, shattering the facade into shards with a gunshot. An unlit, barely visible building remains, until the performance repeats.
