Give yourself a new perspective on Eindhoven and discover the story of the city through the centuries. A journey that begins with slowly melting ice water and rain: the Ice Age. This water gathers and swirls into a river, the Dommel, just a stone’s throw from where you are now. A river that would later serve as the lifeline of Eindhoven.

The Dommel nourished agriculture, stimulated craftsmanship and eventually powered the industrial growth that allowed Eindhoven to flourish. A typical example of this is the former linen factory on which Mappington is now projected.

Come by and experience the rich history of Eindhoven through the eyes of young creators. This light show invites you to pause and reflect on the origins of Eindhoven and to appreciate the life of the city today in a new light. Will you watch along?
