Nebula

No matter what happens, humanity always finds the strength to rise again. That is the hopeful message that Ilse, Mick and Yurge, three students from SintLucas, express with Nebula. The light installation immerses visitors in a dreamy, almost spiritual experience. From the darkness, five transparent pillars rise, each filled with hundreds of glowing bubbles that slowly float upward. Every bubble symbolizes a soul finding its freedom. Together they create a flowing movement of light, life and redemption. Follow the bubbles with your eyes and feel the peace and space, both in your mind and in your heart.

For inspiration, the students looked upward, to the universe. A nebula is a cosmic cloud where new stars are born and old stars die. This continuous cycle of beginning and end forms the core of the work. The installation instantly makes you feel that energy is never lost. It powerfully shows that every loss and every change can eventually lead to something new. It is an optimistic and comforting thought that we all need at times in our lives.
