How are you feeling today? Happy, tired, surprised, overstimulated, or in awe?

At The Rain of Emotions, your feelings take on a color. With the simple push of a button, you reveal how you feel, and a raindrop lights up above you. As you walk through the tunnel, you see your color blend with those of other visitors. Together, they create a vibrant rain of emotions.

We all experience our own feelings, yet we often share much more than we realize. The Rain of Emotions makes that invisible connection visible. Because behind every color lies an emotion, and behind every emotion, a human being.

This interactive light artwork originated from a final-year Techasium project by three pre-university students from Eckartcollege, and was brought further to life this school year by two new student teams.

GLOW Talent Award

These students created their work over the past year at the GLOW Academy: the place where young talent gets the chance to turn creative ideas into reality. All students are participating in the GLOW Talent Award. In this competition, student teams compete for the coveted audience award and jury award. About the artist

The Rain of Emotions originated during the capstone project (Meesterproef) of Julie, Violetta, and Wing Kin—three final-year pre-university students (VWO 6) from Eckartcollege Technasium.

The original concept was subsequently developed further and realized by two new student teams. For their own capstone project, HAVO 5 students Jesse, Tristan, Colin, and Marcel handled the technical execution. Meanwhile, Martine, Yara, Ilse, Juul, and Nine from VWO 5 focused on the narrative and presentation. Together with a dedicated team of teachers and external partners, they brought the artwork to life.
