Tunnel Rinascimentale con galleria celeste

Tunnel Rinascimentale con galleria celeste

During this edition, De Demer, one of Eindhoven’s main shopping streets, is transformed by Luminarie De Cagna. A massive column structure, reminiscent of Romanesque or Renaissance architecture with its round arches, is constructed from wood and hundreds of thousands of colorful lights. The entrance, standing at 28 meters high, is imposing. The audience can stroll through the fairytale-like gallery, surrounded by light and color, while music contributes to the spectacle with a touch of kitsch.

About the artist

Luminarie De Cagna

Luminarie De Cagna is an Italian family business founded in 1930. Initially, the company illuminated buildings and squares with oil and carbide lamps during festive occasions. Soon, they switched to electricity and light, and since 2006, they exclusively use LEDs for new projects. The lights are connected to form large curtains of light, which are installed on buildings or stretched over freestanding elements. This way, entire streets and even squares can be illuminated.
