The narrators introduce you to light art, challenging you to look beyond what you see and encouraging you to actively participate in the experience. The GLOW Lighters!

But then, as soon as you take out your phone and flash, a spectacle unfolds. Their coats suddenly light up, transforming into a radiant artwork that brings the darkness to life. It’s in your hands, and that’s the power of the Lighters: without your interaction, they remain storytellers, waiting for the moment when you make them shine with a flash.

With their appearance in reflective coats designed by Studio VOLLAERSZWART, you literally have “the power” in your hands to make them transform. Every encounter with the Lighters becomes a unique experience that you help to create.

Studio VOLLAERSZWART (Costume)
The studio, founded in 1991 by Madje Vollaers and Pascal Zwart, is a leading design studio from Rotterdam. Their work crosses architecture, fashion, art, and communication, often realized in public spaces. Notable projects include the Tunnel of Love (GLOW 2019), STARS (2012), and the identity of the Eurovision Song Contest (2021). For GLOW 2024, Studio VOLLAERSZWARTt designed the costume for the Lighters (“You Got The Power”). They are known for their boundary-pushing and innovative designs that never cease to surprise.
