Rings of Resonance

Heuvel plein, Eindhoven

Every ripple, sigh, movement, or action—big or small—has an effect on our world. That’s what The Rings of Resonance lets you feel. With this work, you’re not just a spectator—no, you’re an active participant. Your actions make this artwork spin and shine—literally!

The artwork, created by students from Fontys BeCreative, consists of three illuminated rings that rotate independently of one another. At its heart, an illuminated LED sphere constantly changes color and intensity. With the eight interactive button modules surrounding the installation, it’s up to you—and the other visitors—to take action. Together, you determine the light intensity and rotation speed of the artwork. Can you see what you’re doing and what you’re achieving together?

The rotating forms symbolize the constant movement of the universe and the interconnectedness of people. The Rings of Resonance invites you to reflect on small actions that, together, form a greater whole.
