Bilderdijklaan

In the darkness of Anne Frank Park, a treasure from the depths of the ocean sparkles. Unfortunately, this treasure is made of plastic and holds no beauty. The light artwork Deposit Fish demands attention!

The students from SintLucas call for your attention to the world beneath the water’s surface. The oceans are no longer pure and untouched. They are currently filled with a plastic soup: a suffocating phenomenon that threatens marine life. However, within the pulse, rhythm, and waves of Deposit Fish lies a hopeful message. The lights follow a rhythmic beat of the ocean, and with every movement, Deposit Fish reminds us of the need to reconsider our actions. It invites you and urges you to come closer and discover what lies in the depths of the sea. SintLucas once again emphasizes the power of meaningful creativity and underscores the urgent message of our era: the need to reverse the tide of environmental pollution. Marine life struggles with our disposable habits, and the current debate on deposit bottles highlights this. Hopefully, Deposit Fish will raise awareness and prompt us to think about every toss of a plastic bottle or other waste into nature.
