The enchanting floral sea that adorned the nave of the Paterskerk during GLOW was not just a visual spectacle crafted by children; it was also a heartwarming gesture. ‘I Spy, With My Little Eye…’ was created by Hugo Vrijdag and is the outcome of the creativity of no less than 6000 elementary school children from Eindhoven and its surroundings.

The three-dimensional, luminous flowers that transformed the Paterskerk into a colorful light artwork weren’t solely intended for GLOW visitors. On the contrary, after the light festival concludes, all the flowers will be gifted to those who couldn’t witness the floral spectacle. Care homes such as Merenveld, Archipel, Vitalis, and other locations in the city will be enriched with this floral splendor, spreading the magic of GLOW throughout the entire city and its residents.

This project, made possible through collaboration between primary schools in Eindhoven and the surrounding areas, Cultuurstation, DOMUSDELA, Atelier MCFW, De Ontdekfabriek, Simon de Groot, Signify, and Korein, has not only transformed the city into a sea of flowers but has also brought joy to the elderly in the community.
