LumenUs

The construction LumenUs has been developed by students of the University of Technology and is fully based on a pull-and-pressure ratio. The complicated construction consists of bars and steel wires that keep each other in balance. In this work of art, the bars are highlighted from within and this illumination responds to the impulses of the GLOW public. Because of this interaction, colours gradually take over the object, by means of sensors.

This effect represents the process of how, while brainstorming, several small ideas and impulses can together form a complete plan: it’s a regularly used tool by students as well as professionals. This way, the ideas coming from the public can together create an image and thus an interactive, dynamic and lively work of art appears. Airy and powerful to the eye.
