Polaris

Wilhelminaplein

The greatest achievements rarely come from one person alone. They emerge when people trust each other, share knowledge, and let their individual contributions become part of something greater.

Polaris brings six strangers together to create something none of them could achieve on their own. Each participant adds their own energy to the system. Only when everyone works together towards the same goal, will a single, shared point of light emerge: Polaris.

Like a lighthouse in the dark, this light becomes a beacon that brings people together and provides direction. It shows that true progress doesn’t come from individual strength, but from combining knowledge, trust, and efforts.

This artwork visualizes that every breakthrough starts with cooperation. That idea lies at the heart of the Brainport region. Every day, people with diverse backgrounds, knowledge and talents work together on innovations that are bigger than themselves. At the fire department, it’s all about trust, precision and teamwork when every second counts. At ASML, thousands of people work together to create technology that drives progress worldwide. Their fields may differ, but the foundation is the same: the greatest impact is achieved when people strengthen each other.

Polaris reminds us that direction is not created by one individual, but by a collective that trusts each other and moves forward together. Because the most powerful light is not the light that shines alone, it is the light that brings people into motion. Take a step closer and discover how you can guide your own light.
