You step into a technofuturistic field where strange, antenna-like objects surround you. What are they harvesting? Touch turns into movement, cascading down through the field and guiding you deeper into the space.
Fluctuaris is an interactive installation by Nikolai Gillissen, inspired by wind blowing through a field of wheat. It consists of a room full of kinetic objects, each operating autonomously, communicating with its neighbors. Reach out and gently touch one of the stalks: the piece reacts with a movement that travels from object to object, a gust of wind rippling outward across the space. This creates an unchoreographed dance, a dialogue of movement between you and the work.
